LIKE most people in the public eye I’ve been called a few things down the years! But I have to admit ‘Lizard’ is a new one even on me.
Just to set the record straight, I am not actually covered in scales. Nor do I have to lie on a rock in bright sunlight to warm up of a morning.
Truth is I’m actually a special guest star in the video game Primasia Chapter One (I’ll be part of a future mini game too!). My character forms part of the Prime8 Gang alongside the likes of Little Gorilla, Amanda Panda, Sam Snake, Wanda Whale and Tiny Tiger. Together we trade with other islands to gain resources and learn useful information about Primasia and the Land of Humans. It might sound like I’m talking you through one of my more bizarre dreams, but no this is all actually true.
I was more than happy to take the chance to be Eddie Lizard. Anyone who knows me will tell you I’ve always been a big gaming fan. I’ve always loved the way the best games take you into a whole different world. They grab you so deeply that you can’t wait to get back in there again. We all need a bit of escapism every now and again, and I’m no different.
What I particularly like about Eddie Lizard is he’s part of a game which I know will be loved by kids across the world. The point is that Primasia Chapter One doesn’t just entertain kids but allows them to learn. I know when I was a kid I’d have jumped at the chance to play something like this. I know also that that same kid would be amazed at seeing me inside the screen as a character now.
Crazy to think of some of the opportunities that have come my way after winning World’s Strongest Man. For certain, this is one of the more bizarre. But if you want to bring one of the most fun and imaginative games of recent times on to your family’s radar, then take a look.
