Eddie vs Thor – The biggest fight of the year – Official

IT’S official – Eddie vs Thor is the most anticipated boxing match of 2022.
Research from fight site Geezers Boxing, checking out social media engagement around some of the biggest match-ups of the year, put our clash at number one, above a potential Fury vs Joshua clash and the frenzy of Mike Tyson vs Logan Paul.

And no wonder when you consider exactly what will be played out when finally we climb into that ring. Not only will this be the heaviest boxing match in history but it features two immense competitors who have been training intensely to reach peak mental and physical fitness. Winning is everything in this once-in-a-lifetime clash. But I know one thing – I want it more and will leave Thor lying on the floor.

The transformation into boxing has seen me shift to a relentless training regime that makes my strongman preparation seem like a stroll in the park. Running in weights, gym work, sparring sessions, to name just a few, come thick and fast, day in day out – and I have never enjoyed training more.

I love the fact that life has taken me down another path, one that again is delivering great personal reward as I find out more and more about technique and resilience. You might think I’d know everything about my inner strength after all those years aiming for the top in strongman. Not a bit of it. I have found reserves of fight and determination I never even knew existed. Not only that, but with a few more years of life experience, I’m a lot wiser about human psychology too.

I love it that my fight is the number one most anticipated battle of 2022. It stirs me up – gives me even more drive, if ever that was needed! When that bell goes, I won’t be letting anyone down. I’ll be in a zone – THE ZONE – like no-one has ever seen me in before.
