23 Dec 17 | What does an Eddie Hall Christmas dinner look like?
What’s Christmas Day like in the Eddie Hall household? Well, chances are it’s not quite the same as Christmas round yours! Food, as you might imagine, features highly.
I’ll start off when I get up with a full English breakfast. And I mean ‘full’! All the basics – sausage, egg, beans, bacon, black pudding, bread and butter, and then, with it being Christmas Day, pancakes and strawberries with chocolate sauce as well.
After that, things get serious. Over the course of the day, I’ll have three proper Christmas dinners. A mix of meats – turkey, beef, pork – and all the trimmings.
The first will be round about midday, and then about 3.15pm I’ll be tucking into the same again. Another three hours and my plate will be full again. I love Christmas dinner. Having it three times is perfect.
It’s not just about indulging at Christmas. My body needs a lot of calories. If I’m to maintain my strength and physique, I need to eat a lot. It just so happens that Christmas is a good excuse, and actually what’s on my plate is pretty healthy – there’s just a lot of it!
In the evening I’ll have a few Toblerones and other chocolate bars and a few glasses of rum and whisky. It’s a time to relax and to spend time with my family who often miss out on seeing me the rest of the times as I’m so busy.
I hope you all have a great Christmas. It’s been an epic year and I’d like to say a massive thank you for the part you’ve all played in it.
Have a great one!
